1. Does LAD offer its service in criminal cases?
Yes, LAD also offers its service in criminal cases on a restricted basis namely -
i. representing a child offender charged with criminal offences in proceedings in the Court For Children (in camera) or in Open Court under the Child Act 2001 [Act 611], if the child offender is charged jointly with an adult;
ii. representing an accused person charged with criminal offences under the Minor Offences Act 1955 [Act 336]; and
iii. representing an accused person who pleads guilty to the charge and wishes to make a plea in mitigation in respect thereof.
